Physical Facilities and Equipment

There are sufficient physical facilities at BRAC University for its students, faculty and staff members. In addition to its own 6-storied building, it is using several floors of the adjacent Aarong building for its library and classrooms. Recently four floors, each 5000 square feet, in the nearby Standard Tower building has been rented for accommodating several departments and facilities. 

a) Classrooms
All classrooms and seminar rooms are air-conditioned and there is extensive provision of audio-visual equipment including multimedia, OHP and slide projector, internet, computer and PA system. A list of classrooms and seminar rooms is as follows:

OHP = Overhead Projector
MM  = Multimedia
SS   = Slide Screen

b) Labs 
There are three types of labs - Computer labs, Digital lab and Physics lab. There are also several Architecture studios. The number of seats in each lab and studio is as follows:

c) Library
BRAC University library has more than 5000 titles and 11,000 books, journals, reports and bound volumes. Almost every week new books are procured and the library stock is expanded. With the inclusion of this postgraduate program, a large and diverse collection of publications on disaster management and related subjects will also be procured according to the needs of the program. The library is computerized and has a cyber section for internet browsing to access publications worldwide.

d) Cafeteria and Recreation Room
There is a well-furnished cafeteria catering meals to the students, faculty and staff members. Adjacent to it is a recreation room with indoor games and other facilities.

e) Photocopying and Printing Facilities
There is extensive availability of photocopying machines, scanners, laser and inkjet printers for use by faculty and students
