BRAC UNIVERSITY

BRAC University was established in Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2001. The mission of the BRAC University is to foster the national development process through the creation of a center of excellence in higher education that is responsive to society's needs, is able to develop creative leaders and actively contributes to learning and creation of knowledge.

The goal of the university is to provide an excellent broad based education with a focus on professional development for the students to equip them with the knowledge and skill necessary for leading the country in its quest for development.

The university is offering undergraduate programs in Bachelor of Architecture (B. ARCH), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science (CS), Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) in Economics, Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English and Bachelor of Laws (LLB). The university offers graduate programs in Business Administration (MBA), Master of Development Studies (MDS), Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science, and in Computer Engineering, Master of Computer Applications (MCA) and Post Graduate Diploma in Bank Management and IT. As the university grows and as its institutional capacity is built up, the university envisages to offer programs in various other disciplines.
