We need a smart yet efficient editor for document authoring. At the same time, we need a way for Bangla language input without having to master all the available keyboard layouts. This is where BanglaPad and Pata come in.

BanglaPad:
BanglaPad is an open-source, platform-independent text-editor. It has support for Rich-text editing and exporting to html format. The text-pad is capable of Bangla Spell-checking and intelli-sense i.e. it can suggest words in case of spelling mistakes.

Pata:
Pata is a Bangla Transliteration tool. Type phonetically in English and you will get similar sounding dictionary word in Bangla. Now you don’t have to memorize all the different keyboard layouts. You can enter Bangla text without actually typing in Bangla.
